It all started with a carport and then extended to the shed next to the carport (which now did not look right anymore) and went on to the house.

First came the surrounds of the house and then the replacement of the verandah/deck.

Further came the cladding on the study and ended with  washing line stands.

All crafted from red ironbark to comply with the BAL29 bushfire regulation.

Creating an outdoor relaxation space was the main brief for this timber frame.  And it had to fit within the existing trees and sloping ground.

Working within the surrounding trees and bushes and being careful not to damage anything was a challenge during raising.  In the end, the finished frame settled in nicely, offered a spot to relax and access the lower garden.

When this old style home needed a carport with deck above and a covered walkway to the front door, it was only natural that another timber frame was the only option.  The house is crafted with a beautiful timber frame already several year prior.

Being in a bushfire prone area this structure was constructed using solely red ironbark for the timber.
